City Lights

A short story written by Prerana Kumar who describes herself as a pluviophile with a craving for burning skies and tattered pages, who often forgets to wash the ink off her fingers and likes hugs. ‘City Lights’ explores themes of memory, relationships, loneliness and the isolation of city life. The story was inspired by the word ‘Hiraeth’ which is a Welsh word with no direct translation, it roughly means nostalgia, longing, and homesickness.
