Lights, Camera, Action! – Durham Film Festival 2012

Durham Film Festival Trailer

The Durham Film Festival kicks off this weekend from Friday 3rd to Saturday 4th February. This is the first time the festival will be held and will feature film submissions from local and national student filmmakers. The festival is a move towards making the student film scene in Durham more widely known, much like the thriving theatre, music, and arts scene.

The festival will be a combination of workshops including “Acting for Screen”, “Making Short Films” and “Screenwriting”, a screening of short films in the Vane Tempest Room in the DSU, a careers talk on “How to get ahead in Media”, and networking events with industry members in the Kingsgate Bar. The Durham Film Festival 2012 Winner will also be announced.

All screening events and workshops are FREE ENTRY.

Some workshops have limited space so be sure to confirm attendance on Facebook.
