Face

A piercing
blue eye
as I turn the corner
past Greggs.

A reddened cheek,
blurred with cold
from a couple
on a date at Chapters.

The most
dazzling smile
from laughing friends
in the post-Tesco embrace.

A dimple here
or there
as lunch is snatched
outside the Billy B in pouring rain.

Slithers of strangers
pass me by
Snapshots of faces
That I would collage into a beautiful whole
If only I had the time.
